Project Overview
The Trevor Patrick Partnership was commissioned by Southeastern.
The scope of works included the following;
- Reduce congestion to station concourse by carrying out the following changes:
- Increase booking hall area by constructing new glazed façade in front of existing façade.
- Automatic Ticket Gateline (ATG) brought forward enabling increased number of gates.
- Existing concrete column cladding units replaced in smaller diameter
- Provide additional Ticket Vending Machines (TVM).
- Provide two single storey glazed extensions to facilitate two additional ticket windows and a new waiting area.
- Extend rear to provide a new staff accommodation including multi user toilet facility
- Upgrade and increase size of Customer toilets on platforms to accommodate increased traffic.
- Upgrade the CCTV system in liaison with British Transport Police
- Provide vehicle mitigation measure (anti-ram protection).
- Provide improved “kiss and ride” facility
- Provide new Macemain staff information point and waiting area to platforms.
