Project Overview
The Trevor Patrick Partnership (TTPP) was commissioned by Southern railway limited in partnership with Surrey County Council to provide to One Stop Shop construction consultancy services for the provision of a £1m project to provide a transport interchange at Horley Railway Station, Horley, Surrey.
- The interchange has allowed for straightforward access between all modes of transport used by railway customers. The new bus stop will accommodate future Fastway services and other local buses.
- The existing car park has was resurfaced, improved lighting and CCTV coverage installed and spaces and 68 car parking spaces retained.
- Included new cycle shelters, refurbished waiting rooms and a new entrance, which now has step free access into the station from the car park and directly onto platform one, is more accessible to passengers.
- There is also a kiss-and-ride point for passengers being dropped off at the station, a new wider access road into the car park and four spaces for blue badge holders.
- Overall the entire scheme has uplifted Horley Station and the community as a whole.
