Project Overview
The Trevor Patrick Partnership (TTPP) was commissioned by Stagecoach South Western Trains Ltd in partnership with Hampshire County Council to manage the construction of a transport interchange at Farnborough (Main) Railway Station.
The scheme provided;
- Interchange between all modes of transport used by railway customers. The new bus stops will accommodate future Fastway services and other local buses with a dedicated taxi lane as part of the scheme. Waiting shelters were provided and walking routes delineated for safe and simple access between the station and all different transport facilities.
- Resurfacing of the whole forecourt area
- Improved lighting
- Improved CCTV coverage
- 45 premium car parking spaces.
- A point for passengers being dropped off/collected at the station.
Overall the entire scheme has uplifted Farnborough Station and has been well received by station users and staff.
